FairCarboN ALAMOD PC modelling activities mailing list

Modelling the carbon cycle in continental ecosystems is an important part of FairCarboN's activities. The increase or decrease in carbon stocks in continental ecosystems (soil and biomass) will have a significant impact on atmospheric CO2 concentration and therefore on the climate. It is therefore crucial to have predictive models capable of simulating changes in carbon stocks as accurately as possible.

This objective is supported by the targeted ALAMOD project, which will capitalise on the data produced and the know-how of several research infrastructures and will mobilise the French community that uses and develops simulation models for changes in carbon stocks in terrestrial ecosystems, enabling the development of a powerful and unprecedented model evaluation tool.

To this end, a mailing list bringing together the programme's modelling community has been set up to facilitate the sharing and exchange of information.
