Scientific Axes Webinars

The FairCarboN coordination team organises webinars delivered by internationally recognised specialists. These webinars address a variety of themes within the scientific scope of the programme and provide opportunities for the community to engage with cutting‑edge research on carbon dynamics, ecosystem processes and climate–biosphere interactions.

The webinars have welcomed the following speakers:

  • Núria CatalánOrganic matter processing across inland waters… a gender‑biased talk (focus on biogeochemical processes in inland aquatic systems)
  • Michael ObersteinerThe role of ecosystems in the post‑overshoot net‑negative carbon economy (exploring pathways toward net‑negative emissions and the contribution of ecosystems)
  • Andreas RichterMicrobial activity and biomass drive soil carbon and nitrogen cycling (highlighting the central role of soil microbiology in carbon and nutrient cycles)

These sessions contribute to strengthening the scientific culture of the FairCarboN community and fostering dialogue with leading international experts.
